A published assessment should identify the equipment, the job being evaluated, the evidence used and the limitations of the review. This framework is in development.

Our sample templates separate verified specifications, observations, open questions, alternatives and a final verdict. They contain no test results, ratings or product endorsements.

Before a real review is published, its methodology must identify the reviewer, the source documents, any hands-on testing performed and how the equipment was obtained.
